Introducing PowerBx High-Density Battery Packs: More Runtime, Less Weight
Introducing PowerBx High-Density Battery Packs: More Runtime, Less Weight
Weight is the enemy of endurance. Whether you're designing a UAV that needs to stay airborne longer, a defense system that needs to run a full mission on one charge, or a robot that needs to work an entire shift, battery weight directly affects your payload, runtime, and operational capability.
PowerBx is launching a new line of high-density lithium-ion battery packs built with advanced silicon-anode technology and finished in the USA. Our packs deliver exceptional energy density — up to 225 Wh in configurations from 2S to 6S — while providing the power your systems demand. Available Q4 2026.

Discuss Your Application →The Problem: Battery Weight vs. Mission Duration
Traditional lithium-polymer and lithium-ion batteries force a trade-off: carry more weight to extend runtime, or accept shorter mission duration to stay lightweight.
For UAVs, that means less flight time per battery or heavier airframes that consume more power. For defense systems, it means operators carry spare batteries. For robotics, it means more frequent charging or sacrificing payload capability.
This constraint isn't inherent to battery chemistry — it's a design choice. Commodity RC batteries optimize for extreme discharge current. Mission-critical applications need something different: maximum energy stored in minimum weight, with sufficient power for sustained operation.
The PowerBx Solution: Silicon-Anode High-Density Architecture
Our new battery packs use advanced lithium-ion pouch cells with silicon-anode construction. This is not a marginal improvement — it's a fundamental shift in what you can fit into a given weight and volume envelope.
Key Technical Characteristics
| Specification | PowerBx Pack |
|---|---|
| Cell Chemistry | Lithium-ion NMC pouch, silicon-anode |
| Energy Density | ~353 Wh/kg at cell level |
| Discharge Rate | 5C continuous / 8C pulse |
| Charge Rate | Up to 3C (fast charging capable) |
| Operating Range | −20°C to +60°C discharge |
| Certifications | UN38.3, IEC 62133, BIS (cell-level) |
What That Means in Practice
A conventional 6S lithium-polymer battery in the 5,000 mAh range stores roughly 111 Wh. A PowerBx 6S pack in the same physical footprint stores 225 Wh — roughly double the energy at similar weight. For a UAV, that translates to roughly double the flight time without doubling battery mass. For a robot, it means running an entire shift instead of half a shift on a single charge.
And this isn't simply an endurance pack. The silicon-anode cells are rated to discharge at 5C continuously and 8C in pulse mode, which means a 6S configuration can deliver approximately 1.1 kW sustained and 1.76 kW peak — substantial power for systems that need both energy and performance.
PowerBx High-Density Pack Configurations
We're launching with four core configurations, all built on the same modular cell platform. This approach lets customers optimize voltage to their specific application while maintaining consistent cell performance and supply chain.
| Configuration | Voltage | Capacity | Energy | Continuous Power |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2S Pack | 6.8 V | 11.05 Ah | 75 Wh | ~367 W |
| 3S Pack | 10.2 V | 11.05 Ah | 113 Wh | ~551 W |
| 4S Pack | 13.6 V | 11.05 Ah | 150 Wh | ~734 W |
| 6S Pack | 20.4 V | 11.05 Ah | 225 Wh | ~1.1 kW |
Each configuration maintains the same 11.05 Ah capacity while scaling voltage and total energy output. This modularity means you can design around the voltage your system requires without sacrificing the underlying performance characteristics that make PowerBx packs different.
Who Benefits Most? Target Applications
UAVs and Drones — Longest Flight Time, Lighter Payload
For commercial and military UAVs, battery weight is operational currency. A 6S PowerBx pack delivers roughly double the energy of a conventional 6S lithium-polymer battery at comparable weight. That means:
- Longer endurance per battery swap
- Increased payload capacity without increasing airframe weight
- More flexible mission planning — fewer battery changes between sorties
For high-endurance platforms (surveillance, mapping, inspection), this translates directly to reduced operational cost and fewer aircraft needed to cover the same area or mission time.
Defense and Government Systems — Extended Mission Runtime
Portable communications, sensors, ISR equipment, autonomous systems and field electronics all share the same constraint: weight and endurance are in direct tension with each other. A soldier carrying a 20-pound backpack of sensors can't also carry 30 pounds of batteries.
PowerBx packs solve this by allowing mission planners to extend operational duration without proportionally increasing carried weight. In field deployments where swapping batteries is logistically difficult or risky, higher energy density directly impacts mission capability.
Robotics and Autonomous Systems
Mobile robots, inspection robots, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and specialty robotics platforms operate under the same weight-endurance trade-off. A lighter battery means either:
- Longer operation between charges (same payload, more uptime)
- Greater payload capacity (same runtime, more capability)
- Some combination of both
For applications like warehouse automation, inspection, or field research, PowerBx packs reduce the operational friction of battery swaps and increase system availability.
Portable Professional Equipment
Survey equipment, portable computing, test equipment, remote sensors and portable communications systems often require extended runtime in the field. Professionals working 8–12 hour days don't want to carry backup batteries if they don't have to.
PowerBx packs let equipment manufacturers deliver full-day runtime in a lighter form factor, improving both the user experience and the competitive positioning of the equipment itself.
A Word on Power vs. Energy: What PowerBx Packs Are — and Aren't
We need to be direct about one distinction: PowerBx high-density packs are built for applications that value energy density and meaningful power output. They are not replacements for extreme-current RC batteries.
If your system draws 20–50 amps continuously and you want to extend runtime without doubling battery weight, PowerBx is exactly what you need. A 6S pack delivers approximately 1.1 kW sustained and can pulse to 1.76 kW — more than enough for sustained high-performance operation.
If your system requires 200+ amps for short bursts, or if you're designing a racing drone optimized for maximum acceleration, you may still benefit more from a high-discharge RC lithium-polymer battery. That's a perfectly valid engineering choice — it's just a different optimization.
What makes PowerBx interesting is the combination: high energy density (roughly double a conventional 6S pack) plus substantial power (1.1 kW continuous). For most mission-critical and endurance-focused applications, that's the sweet spot.
Manufacturing and Quality
PowerBx packs are assembled and tested in the USA. We're combining advanced cell technology with rigorous BMS design, thermal management, and quality assurance to deliver reliable, field-proven battery systems.
At the cell level, our battery packs are certified to UN38.3 (air transport), IEC 62133 (safety and performance), and BIS (Indian standards). That foundation means your finished equipment can meet regulatory requirements across multiple markets.
